I’m with you on the halos – not a big fan for myself, but there have been a few rare examples I do like. The setting on my tourmaline is a “ballerina” setting. Nothing I was looking for, but the combo of the blue-green color of the tourmaline and the surprisingly amazing tapered baguettes sold me. I bought it second hand, and I’m pretty sure the original center was a diamond.

I feel like I am spamming mine all the time but it is my new favorite…until the next one!

huh I’ve never considered a notch before! I’m not altogether positive that I wouldn’t just be more bothered by the notch than the actual gap (my OCD tendencies are already kicking in lol). In the photo you provided things look a little bit too “unfinished” for my tastes if that makes sense.

Goodness that setting!!! I’ve never seen anything like it!! Also what stone is that? It’s so delicate and pretty.

lovely vintage art deco setting
and I love how your stone seems to reflect color depending on the environment. So very pretty.

this is my aquamarine that I adore! It’s a lot to keep clean but I love the blue hue.

Oh, yes!! I couldn’t agree more. The setting for your indicolite is stunning. I think it shows off the beautiful color of the stone perfectly. I am pretty sure there is a halo out there somewhere with my name on it. I just need to continue the hunt — ha, ha! (After all, hunting is more than half the fun, right? ^.~)
Thanks so much! The stone is a Montana Sapphire. She is a September baby, so I wanted a special birthstone ring for her 16th birthday. And she loved the shade of pink in this particular stone.

Swiss blue topaz. The stones in the bottom band are the same colour but it doesn’t show well in photos.
Excuse my nails and skin. I’ve had a broken wrist and had just got my cast off after 8 weeks so was excited to get to wear my rings again!
