Diamondgurl: Ignoring my son’s scowly face (I was so ridiculously slow when dressing him because I didn’t want to break him lol) he wore this:

It was very cold when I had him though. You could do a cute polo with “jeans” or black pants or a little romper (I am obsessed with them for my son during the summer months now).

Looking back it didn’t matter what she came home in. Everything was such a blur. She could have worn a potato sack and I would have been in awe. It was really cold out so I put a fuzzy sleeper on her. (Over top of a long sleeve onesie)

My mom bought her some ugly outfit from Janie and Jack. I was opposed to it (because she bought it and basically was like here’s the going home outfit without even consulting me or telling me she wanted to buy it) but when dd came two weeks early I just threw it in the hospital bag that wasn’t packed yet as I was in labor! Ultimately it didn’t matter at all to be honest. It ended up being cuter than I thought it would But even if it wasn’t, I can’t imagine I would have cared much.

Im assuming you’re due soon. I would get a cute one piece short sleeved shorts outfit. They’re easy on and are easy to get into a car seat. Zutano has cute designs if you want something different. Kikkeepants has cute things too and the fabric is sooooo soft!

It really didn’t matter because we had her so bundled up, you couldn’t see her! It was November, and cold. We just had her in a purple and white striped sleeper that had a cute little monkey on it. I would suggest choosing something simple because it is SO scary dressing a newborn. They just feel so fragile, especially if you’re a FTM!
