Aww I am actually a little envious of the ball gowns.  I never really got to play dress up princess as a kid.  I tried on a few ball gowns and all I wanted to do was giggle and flounce around in them.  But they look completely and utterly ridiculous on me.  And they dont suit the venue.  So those of you who get to wear one are lucky!

CestTresJolie14:  Your photos have inspired me to instruct my dressmaker to make my veil as long as possible! Just incredible!!!!!!

MrsPiggles:  You look amazing! Is your gown by Allure? I haven’t seen anyone else wear this style & it is the dress that I almost went with. It is just so beautiful!!! I am so lucky that I went with the dress I have ended up with though, because the store that I almost ordered this Allure from went into recievership & was in the news because none of the brides got their dresses or their money back!

My dress is a beautiful ballgown, but it is being custom made so no photos yet!

I’m 5’3″ and have a petite frame as well. I’m not really short but I’m not tall either. When I went dress shopping, a bridal consultant told me that if I wanted to wear a ball gown it had to have a natural waist or empire waist. Otherwise, anything else would break up my body too much and make me look shorter. I ended up getting a Pnina Tornai ball gown preowned off of a bride online with a natural waist and I absolutely LOVE it!! It’s being shipped to me right now and I can’t wait to get it!!!

I love your dress By The Way. I think it looks very flattering on you! πŸ™‚

luxelove:  You won’t regret it! I also wore a two tiered short veil and had no intentions of wearing a long veil until my dress maker told me that he wanted to gift me with one. It made for some really beautiful photos and I’m so happy that he gave it to me. πŸ™‚

luxelove:  Yeah I have only seen another bride on here with the same dress but blush. She posted pictures of it when she got it but never wrote anything again. Dear husband’s high school friend got married like 2 months before us and she posted pictures on Facebook, and it was the same dress too! It was so hard to not say anything in front of him!!!

I had no issues with the shipping, it sucks you couldn’t go with this dress. It was so comfortable!!!!!!

Who’s making your dress??

Oh and thank you! I felt like a princess πŸ™‚

CestTresJolie14:  I am obsessed with that photographer!!! Is your dress a Karo design?

Jay Jay is the reason I found out about the bridal room decoration ideas!

MrsPiggles:  Yay! Karo did make my dress and I’m so happy that he did. I’m unusually small so it was a relief not to worry about alterations. My husbands father and Karo knew each other in their youth and they both were born and raised in Cyprus. Did he also help you with your dress? The dressing room in your photos look familiar! We used the Brandview Ballroom as our reception ballroom. How about you?

CestTresJolie14:  Well, I bought my dress and accessories at Karoza but my dress is an Allure πŸ™‚

Our reception was at Palladio! My husband is Syrian so we had a very typical middle eastern wedding…. We actually were at Brandview a month ago for a wedding! I loved it!!!

I loooooved Karo…….. Unfortunately I didn’t know he made dresses till after I bought mine! I found out through Instagram. Kind of a bummer because their ball gowns are to die for!!!!!!

MrsPiggles:  Oh how fun! Did you also have Jay Jay? We had a very Mediterranean/middle eastern/Armenian wedding. I’m Armenian but my family relocated to Lebanon after the Genocide. My Mother-In-Law is from Armenia and my Father-In-Law is ArmenIan from Cyprus so we have a lot of other cultural influences within our own culture. Never a dull moment lol. I was planning on ordering my dress from the designer, but I was warned that her dresses were known to come in differently than what her samples are and to expect the possibility of a very extensive alteration so I asked if he could custom make it for me instead. Your dress is pretty similar to mine in terms of style and design I think.
