Apologies for the sizes! It won’t let me re-size for some reason! My gown was the Sophia Tolli Ida in ivory (i think, the white version anyway, there’s a tea coloured version too) I loved it! £1300

Not sure your budget, but the Daalarna has a lot of really gorgeous V neck dresses.  I tried on one that I’d consider more of a full A-line than a true ballgown, but depending on how full you want your skirt to be they have a lot of options.

This was the one I tried on.  It was really pretty and unique, ultimately I just preferred a sweetheart neckline with my body type and wanted a less full skirt.

These are also so pretty:

Mine is classified as a A-line, not ballgown. But it’s a damn ballgown.

I don’t have any alterations done yet but I’m going to have off the shoulder sleeves and lace to the bodice. I don’t know the brand because I got it from a second hand store, it’s was 16$ I believe.

amariemgoodman :  That dress has potential. Good deal! I like the lace idea. You doing a belt? That and maybe a slight boost with a bottom crinoline can work.

honeybee1999 :  I’m not sure about a belt, I’m considering it, I will have to see how it looks with the lace. I have a bottom crinoline now, I just don’t have any more recent pictures of the dress.

I ordered it in all ivory so it will be lighter it was little over $2000 and I plan to add glitter tulle underneath it. It’s by Allure brides. It has pearl and crystals going down the back mixed in with the buttons.

I added the beading to the belt. Also, it has pockets!

My exciting damask print under $300 find from Camille La Vie! Their wedding dresses start at around $600 but I found this in their special occasion section. It was originally a high-low gown but since I’m only 5ft tall, I just chopped the low part off and made it an even hem.

I tried on this Karen Willis Holmes dress. It was gorgeous and well made. I guess it’s more A line than ballgown. Also I love the Hearst gown at Bhldn. You could always order one and send it back.
