@Jesseshappygirl:  Love that band!! I have read that bezel settings tend to cut down on diamond sparkle because the light can’t get to it as well as some other settings! I really love the design though! The band I have, the diamonds have prongs but they are surrounded with a bezel like setting and I really don’t mind them not being in your face blinggy, I am attracted to the design more than anything. For reference, here is my band:

Mine is pave set.. They sparkle! What JessM above said, sounds good to me… You shouldprobably try them on side by side to decide.

That’s really pretty and different ๐Ÿ™‚ I like! Imo i wouldn’t be too worried about how much the band sparkles since that’s what e ring is for ๐Ÿ˜› but i mean if you lovethe bling maybe different setting.

I think bezel. I’m not a built fan of channel setting.

My band is pave, so a picture wouldn’t really help. I really like the picture you posted on the bezel setting. I’m not a big fan of chanel set, so i would probably go for the bezel.

Nether bezel or channel setting will show off the diamonds very well.  If you first concern is that, then you would need prong setting.

I have a channel set band, but the diamonds are princess cut.  Princesses sparkle a bit less than rounds anyway but I like the sleekness of the channel set band because there’s no prongs to catch on anything.

I also have a prong set band with rounds (less total carat weight than the princess band) and while it was pretty, the end stones got loose all the time so it drove me crazy.

(I know you didn’t ask about prong set but I thought I would just put it out there Wink )

I LOVE the ring you posted (Tiffany, right?)  I personally don’t like rounds in channel settings because of the dead space in between the stones.  I think the ring you posted would be awesome as a wedding band.

I personally hate gaps so I think channel set would be least annoying to me but I agree with PP that neither of those choices will make the ring sparkle too much more.

An ideal cut diamond will return most of the light entering the surface back out of the surface and to your eye.  Don’t let anyone tell you bezel- and channel-set stones don’t sparkle…but cut is more important in these settings than with a prong setting.

I’m partial to bezels (my engagement ring and weddinging band are bezel-set), but it’s really just a matter of personal preference. I love my bezel band, super comfortable, low maintenance and a bit more unique than other settings. Good luck with your decision!
