I wore a Mori Lee 5108 replica for bride and groom session, then maggie sottero  haven for the wedding.

I ended up buying two dresses because I didn’t think my maggie dress would come in time.  It came a week before the wedding and had 4 days for alterations. I love my maggie!

If I were going to have a beach wedding, I’d want a dress like this!

JerilynnA:  I know you asked someone else, but I thought I’d share since we have similar visions.

My venue is called Anthony’s Ocean View, you can Google it. There are 3 or 4 main reception rooms, and each room comes with a private garden. The one I chose accomodates up to 150 people (our list is at 127). The garden has a built in bar/horsdevours area, tables and seating, beautiful landscaping, torches, couches, and even a koi pond and gazebo. The koi pond is covered and big, so that’s the back up if it rains for our ceremony. The reception room is elegant and will be set up for a formal, white glove service dinner.

For some reason, I wanted my toes in the sand AND all the formal bells and whistles 🙂

I forgot to mention that the venue owns most of the beach, and guests can go back and forth as they please from the room to the garden to the beach.

MrsBagel:  OMG I LOVE IT! Your wedding is going to be stunning. We are getting married at A Sea Glass Estate in Crystal Beach, TX (basically Galveston, TX). I really wanted a wedding that will be timeless and elegant, but at the same time some of our best memories are from the beaches in Galveston. So, why not do both, right? Our ceremony will a dusk wedding on the beach and our reception will be on the huge lawn of the estate overlooking the ocean.

I’m having a formal wedding at a beach resort in Florida. We’re actually getting married if front of a gazebo on grass but the beach is literally 10 feet behind the gazebo so we’ll still have a view of it. We’ll also be going on the beach for pictures.

JerilynnA:  We’re trying to figure that out, actually. We are going down to the beach later this week and meeting with a couple hotels to check out their reception areas. We are considering doing just a nice dinner there then having a full reception back home, though, so we’re also going to meet with a few restaraunts. We keep going back and forth because both options have about the same number of pros and cons for us. Either way, though, we intend for it to be much more formal than the usual. I’m guessing once we check out our options, it’ll help us decide.
