You want a solitaire…right?? Maybe try going into a local jewelry store and trying on a ring in that carat range.  It’ll give you a better idea.  A 1.5 carat on a size 4.5 finger looks totally different than a 1.5 carat on a size 9 finger.  Also be mindful of band width.  You have a smaller sized finger so a thin band would look great on you compared to someone with a larger finger.  I don’t have a solitaire so thats the best advice I got. I also have a size 10.25 finger so my personal advice would be wayy off.  Happy Hunting.  Ill upload of pic of my ering though.

I’m a 4.5 too! Mine is pretty simple but I love it! my center stone is about 1 carat and the side stones come out to 1/2 carat all together.

jakrusbe:  I think a 1.5 would like nice, I maybe wouldn’t suggest going any bigger than that! I have a 1.8ct cushion, which faces up more like a 1.5ct round, but my finger size is 7.5.

I think 2ct is a universally flattering size.  😉  It really looks great on everyone, so I would go with anything around that.  Mine is 2.8 on a 6.5

I have a 4.5/5 size finger with a 1ct stone. I feel like I could go a little bigger. Not sure if I’d want to go all the way to 2ct or not though. Definatley something I’d have to try on to see.

I love my ring! It is a Veraggio – Venetian 5052 🙂 which is perfect considering my child hands lol
