utb1992 :  I agree! It’s like the perfect happy medium. I tend to think that with the micro pave, the stones are just so small and you still have prongs, that it doesn’t render quite as much sparkle!

utb1992 :  it doesn’t sit 1000% flush because of the little donut for the prong. I was so adamant about having zero gaping.that I was actually at first kind of upset when I found out my ering had the little donut.

And then I got my wedding band and it is just a minuscule little gap, hardly noticeable at all when they are right up against each other. You can see how well they sit flush in this photo

My wedding band is actually a size larger than my ering, so naturally it wiggles more and creates a larger gap. Turns out I actually LOVE IT when it does this! I love glancing down and catching it with a little separation. Most of the time it looks like this because my wedding band wiggles down

utb1992 :  in my research, I’ve found that it is common in solitaire because it is a common type of peg head they use. However, not all of them have it, and cathedral settings and halo settings tend to use different heads so they dont always have the donut there.

In looking at the website, it looks like the French have style has a peg head that is higher, so maybe a band sits more flush with it?? I would Chat with them and ask them to send you a photo with that setting together with a wedding band right up against it.

Here in these photos you can see the difference in the heads. And here’s a photo of mine how it looks too

I have the Blue Nile Petite Micropave, not sure if that is different than just the micropave?? Anyways, it has a very thin band, i think it is even thinner than what is listed of 1.9mm! it is set with a 1.7ct round diamond, and i have it paired with a plain band. If i could change something while ordering, I would ask them to make the prongs a bit more dainty 🙂

Hello, I love your setting soo much! Please could you post the link to it on the blue Nile website as I want to be sure I am looking at the same setting!

Do you know the width of the band? On the website I’m sure it says 2.0mm but it looks smaller. The French pave also says 2.0mm but I think this looks bigger than the Riviera in the photos I have seen.

thank you !!!

kllk2019 : Thank you! Here is the link! https://www.bluenile.com/build-your-own-ring/riviera-pave-diamond-engagement-ring-14k-white-gold_56254?elem=img&track=product&vtype=sample

I haven’t had any other way of confirming the width other than what it says online. However, I can say that the ering band is just a tad slimmer than my wedding band. I think the wedding band is a true 2 mm, the ering may be 1.9 or so

Perfect, thank you. I just wanted to be sure I was looking at the same one on the UK website which is the one I have been looking at. So helpful to see “real life” pictures of it. Only difference is I’d be looking at 14k white gold but hope it would still look nearly as nice as yours!
