mnp: What mm is your band width? I’ve got an .96 emerald cut and chose to have 2mm band …

I LOVE my blue nile ring. My fiancé and I started looking at rings in fine jewelry stores and I was disgusted at their pricing. We then decided blue nile was the way to go. My ring is the cathedral pave setting in platinum it’s 2mm wide with half a carat in the setting, it’s thin but not too thin and I get so many compliments it’s crazy.

I got a BN e-ring too! LOVE it! They are so easy to deal with. We both purchased our wedding rings through them as well for our upcoming wedding. I’ve attached a pic of mine πŸ™‚

My ring is from Blue Nile. We had a great experience, even with having to send it back to exchange for a size smaller. We also have the matching band, which curves around the ring. Their sizers run small, though. I was barely able to wear their size 6 size, so I thought I was a 6.5. Then I went to a jeweler and the 6 went over my knuckle (which is like a size bigger than my finger) and was comfortable on my finger. I went with the 6, and it fits slightly loosly when my hands are cold and snugly when my hands are warm, and it won’t go over my knuckle without a little struggle.

I love the engagement ring. I have had people tell me that it seems more sparkly than other rings they’ve seen, and I’m always getting compliments on it in stores and stuff. I can’t wait to pair it with the band!

Love Blue Nile also. Looks like everyone on here agrees. Prices can’t be beat. Selection is awesome. I’m from Canada and it was hasslefree to order. Received quickly! Had to send original back (ended up changing diamond to higher colour grade. FYI J colour makes yellow tint very noticeable in OVAL shape) Anyway, return was totally HASSLE FREE. They pretty much arranged everything. I was so happy with their service that I wrote a compliment letter for 2 of the reps I dealt with. Here is my ring. 1.25 carat Oval. G colour. VS1 (1/3 carat in band)

futuremrs.toothfairy: ooooo nice! Did you get the pave band? I sometimes wonder whether I shouldn’t have gotten the slightly thicker band (it’s still dainty as well), but I love it! I have always liked this style, I think it’s timeless and simple πŸ™‚

P.S. Is your Fiance a dentist? Just wondering because of your name haha :p

GrumpytheDwarf: Haha yes he is a dentist! I do have the pave band and I have been having difficulty finding a wedding band(s) that I like with it. Do you know the width of your bands?

Here’s mine! I love it so much, it’s unique and just my style. Although this style is available from another company, BN stopped offering this setting a few weeks after I received it and I feel kinda special πŸ™‚

Here’s mine 1.59 carat round cut from Blue Nile. The setting is petite nouveau 6 prong. The width is 1.9 mm. I think it’s more comfortable than the knift-edge settings that I tried from the local jewlers. I highly recommend using the advanced filter when you shop for the diamond online.

This website teaches you how to set up the table%, depth% and etc. with the advanced filter. You can read GIA report to check out the crown and the pavilion angle to narrow your options.

After you pick a diamond, you may check out this website and enter the proportions of the diamond to see how good the cutting is.
