I’m in need of some inspiration for an outfit to wear for a shower that my Future Mother-In-Law is throwing for me. The shower will be in March, so the weather could be very nice or very cold. She’s throwing a formal tea at a hotel, so I think I need to err on the dressy side.
Anyone have outfit suggestions or photos they’ll share?

Do you want to wear white, or are you open to other colors?

This was my dress for our backyard afternoon tea themed shower! I love off the shoulder and floor length dresses so this was perfect, I wanted it slightly bridal hence the white background but also fun and garden-party esque with the floral print.

I don’t have any pics of my bridal shower outfit because my bridal shower hasn’t happened. But I have a fitted white lace shirt paired with a pleated midi-length light grey pleated skirt, a pair of light pink heels and a chunky light pink necklace. My shower is in a few weeks, so in mid-february I was a bit worried about it being cold, so I also have a white cardigan sweater, just in case.
I had bought a white dress that I love last June, before I got engaged. It’s a bit short for winter, so I decided to make that my bachelorette dress instead.

All the girls wore floral prints. Excuse the awkward crop. I feel weird posting other ppl without them knowing.

I’m in the blue. I think of blue as a bridal color, plus my wedding was blue & white so it all tied in. This was an antonio melani dress.

I wore a blush dress with fun heels! The dress was cheap and CUTE from Lulus with an open t-strap back with pearls on it

I’m doing a tea for my “bridal shower”. Not really a shower since we’re not asking for gifts, I just like an excuse to have a party. I was going to host it myself, like I did the engagement party this weekend, but I have 4 shallow steps leading to the door and the we’re more of a issue for the mobility impaired then I thought they would be. So we’re doing it at Mom’s house instead. We would do it at a hotel, but we’re doing that for grandma’s birthday the month before and I don’t want to go to a formal hotel tea twice on a month.
So the plan is to wear a mint green lace dress.

I wore grey because I don’t like white.

Thanks everyone! Some really great outfits and ideas! I hope it’s warm enough because I really want to wear a dress for the shower, but March can be really chilly.

I wore a light pink dress and had a light beige sweater to wear over it because I get cold in air conditioning. You can always have a pair of stalkings ready to go in case it’s too cold to be bare legged 🙂

I know a ” pair of stalkings ready to go in case it’s too cold to be bare legged 🙂” is only a typo for ‘pair of stockings’ but this gave me a vision of you saying , ‘hey you two , now’s your chance to come out from those bushes and do something useful!”
