I was hoping someone would respond because my budget is 10.

I know a pervious poster created a thread about her tim burton wedding and she broke it down for readers. That was very helpful

Our wedding is going to be about 65 people, and is very very low-key and simple.

Venue: $1500

Photographer: NONE!

Band: NONE! Musical friends ftw

Dress: $130

Suit: $400 or so… this is a big expense for us, but he’ll get TONS of use out of it.

Wedding rings: mine was free (heirloom) his was $170

Flowers: It’ll probably be $200 or so, purchased from the local market.

Other decoration: Maybe $100 tops? My Mother-In-Law is making centerpieces and stuff, like I said, it’s really minimal.

Our biggest expenditure by FAR is going to be food. Open bar, but we are buying the alcohol ourselves. With staff and rentals it might be $5-6000 altogether. Sound slike a lot but my parents insist on helping with it, and insist that food is the most important ๐Ÿ™‚

Not bad considering we originally wanted a City Hall wedding!

We haven’t planned too much yet, but we are hoping to spend about $5,000 or up to $10,000 if we need to.  This doesn’t include our honeymoon or rings.  We are having about 150 guests.

I think wedding site/reception will be $1000-$1800 depending on which place we choose

$500 bar setup & security guard

$600 catering

$500 dress

$1000 photographer

$800 DJ

$500 flower (maybe less if we DIY)

$500 invitations, decorations, etc (DIY)

about $5000-$6000

@jaijaig88:  Just food and alcohol! Sorry if that was confusing. I can’t say what the total budget is yet because we have yet to finalize a few costs, but it’ll definitely be well under 10. I’d say 8000 to 8500 total

@aec2003:  WOW where on earth can you get catering for so cheap? I must admit our food and drink costs make up a higher-than-average percentage of our budget because that’s super important to our families… also it’s local, organic, etc. so it’ll be expensive. And payment for staff, and renting dishes and linens is factored into my estimate for food. But still, $600!!!!!???

DIY invites, silk flowers, online dresses, rented suit, no photographer just disposable cameras, no alcohol, taxis instead of wedding cars, home decorated cake, no dj or band just mix cd and any other bits we can chop off!

We are only having twenty people all in and even then it is about £1500 just to feed and water them! Crazy!
