I think that would look really pretty with your dress.  I don’t know anything about bustles but I’m sure the seamstress could do it…

I also have a train with box pleats and I also want to know if I should bustle or use a wrist loop! I worry that the bustle will come loose over the course of the night as the fabric I have is very heavy.

Good post! I have box pleats too and I was hoping to find someone who has done a bustle with this type of dress 🙂 I hope someone posts one!

@Bears-bub: I doubt the bustle would come undone. There are SO many loops and ties to it. Even if one did, you’d have twenty more to hold it in place.

Well, I’m no seamstress…. but I’d think they could do it. Where it pleats at the top would just be the top part of the bustle. It all has to do with where the ties or buttons are put. Are you doing the bustle yourself?
