@Oribel013690: one of my tiers will be fake… no one will know… i only needed to serve about 120 so to get the look i wanted i had to do a faux tier… you could always do a faux cake to cut into and then more sheet cakes for guests 🙂

@stephanie63087:  That’s one of the options we’re considering.  Our big idea now though is to get a cheap cake stand and have decorated sheet cakes sitting on the tiered plates.

Buttercream with three different flavors, for 120.

Champagne/blown sugar bubble cake for 100.

@sfchick: The dots cake is fantastic!

We’re going with this – except we’re switching the coconut for white chocolate shavings!

Awwww, i love seeing all these cakes!!!!!  lol

Ours is a beach wedding as well, and this is our inspiration.  I wanted something with more color, but Fiance was a sticker about it being simple (which I respect, and that’s been the only decision he’s made other than the venue)  lol

It’ll be 4 tiers alternating between vanilla and Chocolate with our cake topper instead of the start fish.  🙂  Yay!!!  Only a few more weeks to go!

We had a pretty simple cake.  The design was to complement the hobnail milkglass vases and the lego cake topper.  I loved our cake.  It was quirky yet pretty and most of all delicious.  Italian buttercream icing, yellow cake, and lemon curd filling.  YUMMM!
