I really like this idea, and we’ll probably stick to it. Our theme is vintage Alice in Wonderland/tea party, and I like how the cupcakes on the stand with the lace looks kind of like a topsy turvy cake, and it’ll also make it easier to make it half gluten/dairy free for some of our guests with food allergies. We’ll probably make the top cake two tiers, though, so we can save one, but it depends on if we’re moving right after the wedding or not, since Fiance is in the Coast Guard and he might get his new moving orders right after the wedding.

I was hoping for a traditional white cake but I’d have to pay extra. Our venue comes with this french style creme puff cake – it has grown on me. I think I love it now!
