Butter Cream frosting with tiny swiss dots, alternating tiers of round and square.. We decided to go with a big bow on top, since I was married right after thanksgiving at the kick start of the Christmas season. It was very festive and tasty. 🙂

You know the funny thing is, I feel like most guests just don’t care about the cake (at least the way that it looks) but I love noticing people’s cakes!!  Here’s mine….we live in Chicago and our wedding was very Chicago themed, so the cake is the Chicago skyline!  I’m also posting a pic of the groom’s cake which was Chicago Bears themed:

@AshleyR83:  I looove your cakes! My WI-born Fiance would never go for it though. Sigh. I’ll just live vicariously though you.

@Krispi:  Our cake will look similar to this. Simple, classic, clean. Love it.

@emviamama:  I wasn’t much of a flower person either, however, my baker handmade the flowers on my cake, and I had calla lillies on it and I just loved the way it looked. I also HATE roses! I specifically asked that they not be on my wedding cake or anywhere near my wedding lol. We also had buttons and other things, we did however have fondant and it was gray, but no swirls (hate those). The flavor was champagne and the top layer had raspberry filling. Here’s ours! Our colors were purples, black, grays, and white!

@emviamama:  glad you liked it! I’m not taditional in any sense and I had inlaws that wanted flowers, so even though there are flowers on this cake, I was ok with it because they were hand made and looked cool the way she did them 🙂

Ours was white cake with swiss dots & buttercream frosting with berry mousse inside…it was SO good!  I’m not a fan of chocolate (*gasp lol) or fondant so I loved it! I actually keep thinking about it and gets cravings for it 2 weeks later lol!

Ours was a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting on the outside, and a white chocolate whipped cream frosting on the inside to cut down on sweetness. It got a lot of compliments, which was great!
