This is not my picture — I just googled it.  It’s kinda like what we’re going for — but instead of the flowers in the hurricane candle holders we got little pink gem stone thingies from Michaels.  We’ll have scattered pink petals on the mirror like this though.  And we’re not doing the extra candles (just one in the hurricane candle holder).  The mirror and hurricane candle holders are provided by our venue.  I originally had planned on mason jar centerpeices but we’d have to buy a lot and then figure out what to do w/everything after.  This is just easier and we’re incorporating jars in other ways 🙂

^ the gem thingies — except ours are a light pinkish/peach color.

For our centerpieces all we had to buy were the gems, candles, and order flower petals to scatter.  We don’t get married until October 7th so I don’t have any personal pictures.  =P

Here are my centerieces. We used candelabras and I love how they turned out! Adding different sizes candles around the base would give off even more light.

@Megan7210:  Thanks!  I’m pretty excited about it.  I only have the gems thus far.  I need to look for candles still.  I thought it was nice that my venue had the stuff already, lol.  Saved me a little work.  I love the picture you posted!  I think that would look lovely!  Different size candles would be nice 🙂 for some height variation.  Just keep in mind that if you have to buy a lot of candle holders/candles/vases it can add up.  With that said, I’ve found that doing candles vs floral centerpieces is cheaper.  So it probably won’t be as bad as if you went floral lol.

I’m doing candles/scattered petals and our wedding reception is during the day.  Floral arrangments were looking like they’d cost at least $50 per table and we got the gems on sale w/coupons.  Didn’t amount to much money.  Candles will probably be like $30ish.  So we’re basically getting to cover all of our tables for around what one floral centerpiece would have cost. *shrug* I have a thing for candles anyways =) it worked for us!

This isn’t mine but my inspiration.  Cream candle, sand, shells and flower petals. I will be putting them together this weekend. It will also have 4 votives around it in pink and orange (my colors).

We’re doing florals but we may end up doing a mix. Our candle centerpieces would be kind of like this:

But with twine wrapped around the middle...or burlap
