i’m having a brunch reception and i’m having a hard time coming up with centerpiece accent ideas. we already have the main componant, our DIY sola flowers in jars and antique tea kettles, but i feel like i need something else. if it were an evening reception i’d probably throw some candles around it, but since it’s daytime i’m clueless. ideas?

I never even thought about not having candles at my brunch reception! But it’ll be inside, in February (brr), so maybe it won’t be bad for my case. Jeesh. I’m no help. You’re just making me think.

@LiliKitty: i never thought about it either until Fiance was questioning why we’re having candles when it will be light out! maybe this calls for another post with a poll- are candles okay during the daytime?

Those are gorgeous! I don’t know that you need anything else? By the time you get place settings on the table, pitchers of water/juice/coffee/whatever, and a table number – they fill up quickly.

I don’t think they need anything else. Many “accents” look so disconnected from the centerpiece.
If you really want something, you could find small silver pieces-sugar bowls, creamers, salt and peppers, and fill them with the filler flower you have used with your sola flowers.
