Wow they look really nice with the cap sleeves. I ‘need’ cap sleeves so I am waiting for David’s Bridal location to open in Toronto. They carry just the sleeves. Yay!

In all descriptions I’ve seen for my dress, the words “cap sleeves” have been used. They’re a bit narrow though and verge in the “wide, tapering strap” category.

This is Monique Lhuillier “Edie.”

Wow.  So pretty.  If I were to change anything about my dress, I would add cap sleeves.

These are wonderful–post more!

To brides who wore cap sleeves: did you find it very hard to try on gowns and get an idea of what they will really look like? A strapless dress they can just kind of cinch you in, but a gown with sleeves has to fit in the bust and under the arms in order to look right, so baggy sample gowns don’t really give an accurate picture of what your gown would look like. It’s making me lean toward buying strapless even though I always imagined sleeves!

@All In:

I agree with you about it being hard to envision the final result. It took a lot of creative cliping to get me into most of the sleeved dresses that I looked at. It has made the final pick hard to commit to, but I know that I want something covering my shoulders, so I’m crossing my fingers.
