Hi bees, I need a cardbox! I’ve got lots of inspiration, but I don’t know what to do with it.
I hate the stacked boxes that resemble a cake (they’re pretty but not my style), don’t want a birdcage and would prefer something that closes/has a lid. I prefer my guests to not be able to see how many gifts we got. Any ideas?

I didn’t feel like taking on ANOTHER project, so we’re just using some birdcage that my grandma had that’s been used for other weddings. I’m sure it’s going to end up really ugly and I’ll have to redo it, since she’s probably going to leave the flowers on it (after I told her NO several times) and I really hate the ribbon that she chose, but IDGAF anymore.

I found an unpainted barn/mailbox and used that for our cardbox. I painted the barn in blue to match our wedding. Unfortunately the screw that was holding the flag came loose, so the mailbox flag didn’t stand up. But other than that it was fine. This isn’t a great photo, but it’s all I have.
You can also find all sorts of things on Etsy. This one made me smile and I totally would have used it had I found it before the wedding. 🙂

We made ours! We’re having a candy/sweets themed wedding, and the only way we could get something that fit with our theme was it make it ourselves. Here it is:

I’m not very crafty but was able to put this together. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out but after time and materials, I’m wondering if I should have just purchased off Etsy. Oh well, a labor of love. 🙂

with all the non craftyness running through my blood I was offered a bird cage but decided I wanted something to blend more with what I planned.. I found this on ETSY … and it is honestly a brown box covered in lace with ribbon and the flowers that i requested and a slit. you EASILY could do it but it was worth what I paid (and i didnt personalize the card part so i can possibly resell or give away)
it’s beautiful and just what i wanted.
