I’ve had a veil in mind that I was 100% on board with the first time I tried it on. Now that I’ve had time to contemplate it, I’m not so sure and feel like I’m settling. What do you think? (Sorry, the pic is MASSIVE)
I want something plain b/c the train of my dress has gorgeous lace detailing. Still, IDK why I’m all of a sudden having second thoughts. A part of it has to do with the fact that DB screwed me the other day – I called on a Tuesday and spoke to someone who said they had it in stock, in ivory (which I wanted) to try, so I said I wanted to come in and try it with my dress. The girl clearly had no idea what she was talking about. They didnt’ have a sample, didn’t even have any in store and since my dress is discontinued they didn’t have it to try with it anyway. Just a bust.
Thoughs? Am I scrutinizing or can I do better? I’d love to see some pics of cathedral veils, ladies and let me know where you got it!

BurlapnLace: And to elaborate on the DB issue, I’ve not been totally happy with their customer service (or lack thereof) on a few occasions, especially since it’s the only place I’ve dealt with regarding wedding attire. My dress and b’maid dresses have all come from there and the groom and his guys have ordered with Men’s Wearhouse. I’d prefer not to give them more of my business based on some of the CSR’s I’ve encountered!

BurlapnLace: Is that the DB veil? I got one very similar from Simply Bridal for like 40 bucks! I don’t have a photo of me with it, but from a distance it looks pretty close. Might be an option if you don’t want to use DB anymore. http://www.simplybridal.com/shop/accessories/veils/87096-one-tier-90-lace-trim-veil

I wore to veils a Fingertip and a Cathedral length. Got both at Alfred Angelo. And although it’s really hard to see both veils had tiny floral appliques with a slight touch of bling on each. Here’s some pics.

BurlapnLace: This is a horrible view of mine – this was for my bridals last month. I don’t get married for another 2 weeks and I’ll have better ones then. But mine is cathedral with a thicker lace edge and I LOVE it. I had mine made through Jasmine’s Bridal Shop.

It’s hard to tell from the picture but mine was covered in beads/crystals

Mine is going to be a little longer, but here is the idea! Flowers and all.

IzzyBear: I love your veil!!! Do you mind sharing where you got it?

thisheartonfire: I had it made by Jasmine’s Bridal Shop. The veil that inspired it (Toni Federici Broadway veil) was $1,500 and I was not ok with spending that much on a veil lol. However, I’m sure any good seamstress could make it for you. It was a single tier veil with a length and width of 108″.

This is my Spanish-style cathedral veil. If my mom has her way, I will wear it with the bridal peinetta (comb) that she bought me (pics attached). I have not decided if I will do that or not. But, the veil I love…
