@thenextmrsi:  Wow, your wedding looks like something staged for a bridal magazine photoshoot! Effortlessly flawless, & a beautiful color scheme!

The cake & invited are positively swoonworthy & I think you executed the color scheme even better than your inspiration picture 🙂

@mrsbordoni:  Thanks for the congrats. I went mostly for the colours in the theme I attached. And then as time went, it became less and less Summer & Dusk.

Part of it was that I ran out of time and maybe slow on the ideas! In the end, I really only had enough time to cover wedding essentials, like Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, my own accessories, etc. The venue we went with was pretty good as it was without adding anything. Maybe I just didn’t know how to transfer Summer & Dusk into the venue!

I did think of looking for firefly jars for the outside seating but I thought we were mostly indoors I don’t know if it was worth investing time hunting down for real fireflies! To translate summer and dusk into the venue was really throw a lot of flowers into it, but that cost $$$$. The dinner was indoors as well. This theme was really more applicable to outdoor weddings or I just really failed to get creative and think outside the box. Wish I found out about Wedding Bee during my planning stages as I’m sure many bees here would have ideas 🙁

Oh yeah the colours morphed to something else, while I chose those 4 colours, they evolved to their vivid cousins because my BMs are darker in skin tone. So the final colours were more “mardi gras”-ish as my florist would put it!

Sorry my theme was misleading in the end. We should have a before and after theme thread here! I’ll post some photos of what my wedding ended up looking like.

@mrsbordoni:  I know! I couldn’t even believe how well the color matched the turquoise dresses. And the kept the girls occupied all morning so they weren’t bored when everyone was getting ready.

We are going with different blues as our color scheme… navy, slate, etc. Inspired by the sea!

@mrsbordoni:  Yes! Well… kind of.  We are getting married in the coastal town where we met and lived for the first few years of our relationship.  While we’re not getting married ON the beach, we are getting married at a marina on the waterway.  That way we still get the beautiful water side wedding without all the sand! 🙂
