@mrsbordoni:  hi there! No I’m having reception in a hotel ballroom. So I wouldn’t exactly call it lavish. But the pic is more so my ultimate dream reception. I may add some of the details but not all. Best wishes on your upcoming wedding! Smile

@jennmariee:  Thank you! I didn’t post photos for a long time and then decided to start posting more since looking at photos here helped me so much in my planning. I don’t want to threadjack with more photos, but if you still want to see more you can go to my profile – I recently posted two recaps with LOTS of photos.

@futuremrsfelton42014:  Ooh, very similar color pallette to mine! Your inspo board is to die for! Can’t wait to see your photos! (And is your username in reference to Tom? hehe)

@mrsbordoni:  Thank you, that’s so sweet! Your colors sound great, I love grey and purple together! I have that in my guest bathroom haha. The best advice I can give you is on the wedding day, just try to have as little responsibilty as possible in the morning. I went to the venue just to look things over, and then I relaxed and did NOTHING. Nobody bothered me (and there were issues that I didn’t know about – my amazing family deflected them) and I just spent the morning getting ready and reflectin on my relationship and preparing myself to walk down the aisle to start the rest of my life. It sounds cheezy, but it’s true! There will ALWYAS be something to stress/worry about – give yourself just a few hours where you can just let go and let the day happen!

@classical_wolf:  My colors as well! Love your paper. Did you design these yourself or order from somewhere?

@mrsbordoni:  Well for one I am extremely pale and white washes me out completely. Secondly, I purchased a sample dress to save money and that was the color it came in. Thirdly, I like the Maggie Sottero alabaster because it is a bit different.

@val_toro:  I see that you mentioned your colors were eggplant and ivory. By The Way I remember your recap and how beautiful it was. I have a question: my colors are plum, ivory, and silver/gray. I have the option of only white or black tablecloths. Venue provides black chairs. Do you suggest I go with white tablecloths to brighten up the reception room? Were your tablecloths and chair covers for the reception and the ceremony chairs white or ivory? Because if they were white then I can’t really tell where the ivory is in your wedding pictures. Your dress even looks white to me…am I wrong? This is just a dilemma for me right now b/c the only reason I decide to include ivory as a color is because my dress being ivory. I just don’t want the white and ivory to clash.

@slc201329:  Hi and thank you.. The color I knew for sure that I wanted was Eggplant.. I Chose Ivory because of an inspiration pic I saw and It complemented the dark purple.. All my light colored linens were ivory, napkins, chair covers, table cloths, including my dress.. I know it looks white in the pictures but it’s all Ivory, except for the chair sashes and the table cloth overlay which was eggplant.. My centerpiece flowers were ivory/white.. My ribbons on decor and candles were ivory.. My ceremony chairs were white because that’s the only color they offered which was fine with me… Does your venue only offer the white or black And noreception Do you have the option to add a different color like overlays etc? It’s really up to you and what you prefer.. I would probably choose white because it does brighten up the room and the plum will really stand out.

@mrsbordoni:  Above are my inspiration boards…taking from google search. Primary colors will be Plum (BMs dresses), Ivory (my gown), Gray (tuxes)/Silver (to accent the gray). Feeling a bit overwhelmed. I still have a lot to do! 🙁

Our colors are black and white with Blushnude. Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses are black and their shoes are nude and their make up will all be a version of a smokey eye that compliments their coloring and eye shape and a neutral lip. Jewelry is black too. the best photo I could find to sum up the look and feel of our wedding is this…. (there is actually lace too since the wraps on our bouquets are nude with a black lace overlay).
