Hi bees!
I’ve recently decided that I really like the Vatche Swan (plain band). Now I’m being a little greedy and wondering how the ring would look if its peekaboo/surprise diamonds were replaced with some other colored gemstone.
Please show me your ring if it has a non-diamond peekaboo! Thank you!! 🙂
Here is a snapshot of the Vatche Swan.

Hi!
This is my one. The Bigger Pear is a Grey Colour Diamond and the other is a white diamond. The Grey isnt a dull white it is considered a coloured diamond and I love it!!! I got married 2 weeks ago so this is a photo I took a week before the wedding to make sure the wedding band sits well with the engagement ring xxx

jdeleon14255: wow I love how well your engagement ring and band fit together! if you didn’t say so, I would’ve thought it was one ring! was it custom made?

I have Alexandrites for my peekaboo stones. I love them. In my livingroom they are teal, and in the kitchen/outside they are different ranges of purples.

PixelMePretty: thanks for posting! I’ve been considering alexandrites also but was unsure if you’d see a color change with such small stones. Do you any more pics?
OP, thanks for starting this thread, I’m having my ring designed now and I’m pretty sure I want something other than diamonds as the surprise stones

PixelMePretty: Your ring is gorgeous! I love the details and the color combination of the alexandrite and your ring! Is it against yellow gold or rose gold? My partner’s birthstone is alexandrite, so it did cross my mind to get mine with alexandrite. (Having said that, the swan has four surprise diamonds…not sure how it’ll look with alexandrite -his- and peridot -mine-).

cherryiice: I was worried about that too, mine are very small but they change color a lot. I can’t seem to get a good picture of the teal-y color but here are a few of the different purple shades.

PixelMePretty: oh, i love that last one, almost looks like tanzanite!!
I’ve been playing with a number of ideas in terms of stones. Whatever we go with, I feel like it should have some significance so my idea are:
Birthstone(s): SO’s is garnet, and while I don’t really like the deep red garnets, there’s actually pink garnets that I think i would love (pink is my fav color). Mine is Ruby, but again the red…
Anniversary is in May, but I really am not a emerald fan…
Proposal month will most likely be in June, which is where the Alexandrite comes in, but this is taking a risk because the ring could be ready sooner, or (sure hope not), SO could wait til after June to propose. Not sure if I should create a ring based on a guess of when he’ll propose and def don’t want to dictate to him when he can or cant do it, since I’ve pretty much been in charge of everything else! lol.
Anyone have any other thoughts/reasons for picking the stones they chose?

A video of mine, it is easier to see. There are 3 surprise pink diamonds on the setting. One on each side of the shank and one under the culet. The one under the culet is hard to see unless you are really looking for it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WjE2KZ6NJM
