My mom is an expert crochet-er.

My sister is an amazing artist/painter (she makes it look effortless) and floral designer.

I have no artistic ability. BUT, I have green thumbs! This is about half of my houseplants.

I’m seriously in awe of the sewing bees! It’s the one thing I’ve just never really gotten into.

My “go to” craft at the moment is calligraphy. I started it in January (so still a new hobby) but am practicing most days. It’s mostly been things I wouldn’t share online (eg envelopes with addresses). I find it quite relaxing, and amazed I can even get anything vaguely pretty considering the best I can draw is a stick man!

desertgypsy :  Thanks heaps! For a lot of the lines I used a ruler – trying to do them freehand and it certainly wasn’t as neat or straight haha. The tutes I’ve been watching is awesome – he just draws everything freehand and it looks amazing. I guess that’s years of practice LOL

I kinda love point perspectives in the fact that it is both logical and artistic at once… it all goes back to angles and geometry. It’s quite fascinating πŸ˜€

ukbea :  Calligraphy is a beautiful art form. Do you happen to do bullet journalling too?

BijouBee :  I love how all of the trees are unique – it’s a beautiful stone that the tree sits on as well.

munchkin1917 :  Thank you. Way too long!  Haha. The main portion actually wasn’t bad, only a few hours on that. It was the hand embroidery and the million trips to the fabric store for things that I forgot that took the longest! Maybe like 8 hours all together. 😊

Crafting is life for me! I always find myself involved in a new project. I cross stitch and embroider.

But recently I’ve started to get back into crotchet.

I honestly really badly want to learn how to do quilting 😍 Those blankets are so beautiful πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Ill brag on my mom.  She’s a great quilter.  She got into it to make this guestbook quilt for my sister’s wedding 5 years ago.

She’s making one for me too and sent me a Marco Polo of the work in progress. Shes so awesome.

I’m a knitter and crocheter who used to be a drawer and painter! I still love to draw and paint but I haven’t done it in years. I’m hoping to get into quilting once I have my own space since my yarn takes up the majority of my room here.

I figure my favorite think about drawing and painting was playing with color, and now I can do that with stuff that doesn’t just sit on the wall! I tried uploading pics but it wasn’t working.
