My cushion cut.
My cushion cut.
Ladies- I’m loving all these stones! I think cushions are gorgous but I just get so confused (I know my rounds, but everytime I read an article on cushions I get more confused) I know there is a brilliant, antique, elongated and many others but don’t know the difference/ which I prefer
i ADORE the tiffany Novo if that helps (not sure what type it is – I just like the way it sparkles if tht makes sense)
i also like cushions square/round not skinny.
anyway bees please, if you don’t mind, school me (while I look at al your sprarklies)
Love this thread!! Keep ’em coming please folks!!
You know how most little girls grow up thinking about their dream wedding? Well I never did. The only thing I ever thought of regarding marriage was that a cushion cut ring was what I wanted. Ever since I was a child I have always loved them. In my younger years I always thought I’d have a hard time sourcing one because they were an “old-fashioned style” and not many jewellers offered them anymore but I’m loving the recent resurgence of cushions everywhere!!
Here is my antique cushion with milgrain and pave band. Pictures with and without an eternity band next to it 🙂
that is my diamond in the picture. This type of cushion is not common, because the same rough can usually be cut into a round and yield slightly better carat weight and therefore more $$. They’re very hard to find.
Here’s mine! 1.25 ct cushion cut diamond, 1.7 total wt. Got engaged last May and still stare at it 🙂
I took that picture super up close and it didn’t focus, but the diamond is nowhere near that cloudy. I’ll post better pictures when I get a chance.
