I designed my engagement ring and custom wedding band and David Klass  made them both. The engagement ring is a mash up of 2 rings, I wanted something vintage looking.

Custom ring based off the sol310 setting from MoissaniteCo. I wanted six prongs instead of four. I love the peekaboo stones so much.

Everyone knows I can never resist a custom rings thread.

My dragons, which was for our 20th anniversary. The stone is a purple spinel. My hubby’s birthstone is amethyst, and I picked this stone because it was similar in color but offering a better hardness. One of these days, I hope to find the perfect purple sapphire, although I really do love this spinel … so that might not happen. LOL Setting is 14K rose gold.

My little “sunburst” ring. The basket is inspired from an art deco sunburst image, because I always think of this stone as a little piece of sunshine. (Although it can range from a sunny yellow to a more orange color to a beautiful honey-brown, depending on the light.) Stone is around 1.24ct equivalent yellow sapphire, and setting is 14K antique yellow gold.

Believe it or not, this ring has become something of a daily “go-to” for me. I love this stone so much that I kept it out on my desk for months while I was figuring out how to set it. And it’s an easy setting to wear every day.

And my most recent custom ring. This has become a “go-to” additional or RHR for me. I wear it on either my index finger or middle finger. Stone is a very red Rhodolite Garnet, around 2.6 to 2.7ct equivalent. Setting is 14K rose gold (which has become my favorite metal), and 14K “black” gold. And the raven’s eyes are teeny black diamonds.

Funny story: I received this ring not too long before I went home to visit family for Christmas. I was still feeling those new-love vibes for it, and I had been so super excited about this project. My mom took one look at it and handed it back to me with the comment, “Huh. I don’t understand why you put ducks on your ring. They look like globs of mud.” Ouch!! I laugh now, but, at the time, I had to take a moment alone to whisper (to my ring): “Don’t listen, Precious ….” Ha, ha!!

The birds are ravens, By The Way. Not ducks. LOL

I have a couple of other (older/earlier) custom projects, mainly because I can’t get enough of funky, fun ring designs. And my imagination is a dangerous place. But I’ve already overshared.
