Have you tried it on?  If you have and you love then I say do it!  No need to play it safe and get what seems normal.  Get what you love and makes you happy; don’t try to please anyone but yourself.  I think it is beautiful.  Personally I would not be comfortable in this style but if you are then I say rock it!

Artie52:  I would keep the straps as they are, narrowing them would just be too much skin. I’m a double aa in the bra department, so my deep v is on my back not the front. I can’t help you much there, but I would recommend that you go to a salon and try on a deep v just to see how it looks on you.

Artie52: Three thoughts here:

1. You have to be very flat chested to pull this off. Like, an A cup, and no larger.

2. Personally, if there was mesh over the v-cut, it would be a lot better. You still get the plunge effect, but it doesn’t seem as too revealing.

3. You would need thick straps or sleeves.

Personally, I adore deep-v’s, but I also understand who they would be too ‘oh la la’ for a wedding.

Yes as  a. pp said, try one  on and look closely  at youself in it .  Does it give pancake boobs ( need as  another pp said to be A or  B cup at most to pull off these.

Then, check that  it really looks good, all  that sternum. Nothing against sternums (sterna?) of course but does it look glamourous and classy , or just , well,  here is my sternum?

If  you were to get  the one pictured, I’d be a bit careful about narrowing the straps, that might head it into nightdress/lingerie territory.

And remember , even if you don’t choose one of these, that ‘safe’ strapless sweetheart is not  the only other option.

the good thing about deep V necks is that the are very flattering for all body shapes so no need to be super skinny. The dress you posted is a Berta bridal, I have tried her dresses on and I wore a yaki   .. Most of their V-neck dresses have mesh to panel the neck part and your boobs dont fall out

Artie52:  I think that is gorgeous! As long as your wedding isn’t in a church, I think you are ok to wear a deep V like that.
