erw4338:  Your menu sounds so freaking amazing…..I love mexican food!! I LOVE cheesecake too and because our venue only allows us to bring in wedding cake (the rest of the food has to be through the venue) I love that one of the options was cheesecake haha! The venue had other bars such as poutine bar, grilled cheese bar, beef dip bar etc but we though majority of our guests would enjoy the taco bar.

erw4338:  I love my food choices. I just hope everyone else will. We arent having a completely fancy wedding with a fancy feast or anything along those lines, just having a budget friendly wedding to accomodate our way to huge guestlist.

Cocktail hour: Giant meatballs on a stick, sausage rolls, shrimp cocktail, veggie tray.


mixed green salad with tomatoes, peppers and onions with a vinegarette dressing

penne with a creamy tomato sauce

steak with roasted potatoes and veggies


Ice cream that was shaped and tasted like a pear with a candy coating, it was so good! There was also a chocolate option but most people wanted the pear ice cream!

Midnight table:

Wedding cake, a variety of other desserts mostly other kinds of cakes, cookies, there was also some seafood, shrimp, lobster

-Domestic and Imported Cheese Display

-Butternut Squash Ravioli with Sage Butter Sauce

-Garlic Mashed Potatoes

-Mixed Grilled Veggies

First course (salad)<br /> California Field Greens with Herbed Goat Cheese Crouton and Mango Vinaigrette

Entrées<br /> 8 oz. Roast Alberta Prime Rib of Beef au jus with Yorkshire Pudding<br /> or<br /> Oven Roasted Chicken Breast Stuffed with Prosciutto, Swiss Cheese and Sage with Parmesan and Herb Cream Sauce

* both served with a melange of seasonal vegetables

Dessert<br /> Classic Crème Brûlée with a Brandy Coconut Snap<br /> …and, of course the wedding cake.

Hors d’oeuvres were also passed around during the cocktail hour following the ceremony.

We’re having a small house wedding of about fifty (50) guest…seventy-five MAX!  Each guest table will have two 3-tier servers with a  mixed selection of cheeses,  grapes and crackers and two bottles of wine. We’re having a buffet dinner: Toss Salad, Honey Baked Ham, fried/baked chicken,  meat loaf, macaroni ‘n cheese, home style mashed potatoes,   mixed green beans, sweet corn and dinner rolls. We will have sweet potato pies, wedding ‘n groom’s cake for dessert.

Cocktail hour: Veggies & dip, Fruit, Crackers & Cheese displays. Passed Hors d’oeuvres – Tomato bruschetta , spanikopita, herb & parmesan stuffed mushrooms, and sausage stuffed toasted ravioli.

A 4 Hour Open Bar: Includes call liquor, handcrafted draft beer,bottled beer, varietal wine and soda.

All Dinners Include:  A mixed green salad and warm garlic breadsticks. A Chef Tended Carving Station with our Award Winning Beer Braised Pot Roast

Buffet: Six Cheese Bowtie Pasta, Honey Basil Chicken over seasoned rice, baked salmon, seasonal vegetable medley & roasted red potatoes.

A Sweet Finish: Includes a coffee bar with gourmet flavored syrups, select teas, homebaked cookies, fudge iced brownies, and assorted dessert squares.
