Very excited – my first time posting ours!

We have a ‘pocket card’ instead of a fold, with our inserts tucked into the back. We cut the card and made the little pockets ourselves. The invites I designed, and the silhouette graphic is the same as our cake topper (it’s us, in the O!), designed by Simply Silouettes on Etsy – who are fabulous to work with, I highly recommend them.

I had them printed on quartz paper I bought, at our local Warehouse Stationery chain (A NZ thing) and incorporated crop marks into our design, so they cut them for us as well.

I DIY’d the ‘fake calligraphy’ on the invites, based on tutorials from other bees here. They were cheap as chips, our guests loved them and we were so proud of them ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

@eocenia:  I’ve seen your mock-up in a few threads now — I think the final product is going to look absolutely lovely!

@MissSapphire:  Fab! The faux calligraphy is beautiful, LOVE white ink on dark colored envelopes!

Our invites were 100% designed, printed, and assembled with my own two hands.

The first pic is of our invite (front).  This was the first one we made and in the end we did the bows a little different.  The second pic is of our STD w/ magnet.  The STD is very similar to the actual invite.  We used the same font and border pattern.  The invite does not have our logo.

@maraschino: Thank you! I’m playing around with a few last style elements now, and then I’ll be able to start the real “production”. ๐Ÿ™‚ Love your invitations, the colours are great and the font is gorgeous! Do you mind sharing the name of it?

Sorry for the massively huge picture of the main invitation but it’s the only way you can see the embossed details!

@maraschino:  Yes they are! I’m a total weirdo here in New Zealand for having an April wedding though ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s our autumn (autumn starts 1 March here) and we’re getting married on a Thursday

I also feel compelled to mention that the silhouettes I used in our invitation suite were those of myself and my husband, and I was super pleased that all of our guests noticed!

@reynaweddingbee:  Thank you so very much!

@MissSapphire:  What?! Really? Autumn weddings are becoming extremely popular here in the US. Though it’s kind of funny, April weddings aren’t common here, either…

@baletrina:  Thank you! And the script is Carolyna Pro. =]
