I am toying with the idea of adding a small Etsy registry to our exciting Macy’s and BBB ones. We are a quirky couple who likes things to be a little different, and while we do need some of the essentials from Macy’s & BBB, I would love to get some more personalized things from Etsy. I love the idea of supporting smaller business owners, as my Fiance is a small business owner himself.
I started searching around Etsy and I’m super overwhlemed with all the stuff on there!! So I need some ideas and some direction bees! What is your dream registry purchase from Etsy?

I love ETSY!! I order a lot of my daughter’s bday stuff from there. I am looking at ordering a few of my bridesmaids gifts from there. And parents gifts!
I want something similar to this for my dad.
And this for my bridesmaid and flower girls! Our wedding is outdoor in the summer. We are having the reception in a big red barn, so I thought it would fit with the theme!!!

I love the idea of an etsy registry. We were struggling with registries as well, as we are a young couple and just starting a home together, but try to stear away from too much traditional home stuff and really love artisnal and artistic pieces! I opted away from etsy as we are in Canada and most local artisans (re: not resellers) were in the states, so shipping and customs/duty was an issue. I was also worried our older guests wouldn’t like it. I’d love to heard about your experience with it so far @Maurasaurus
Instead we went with a Pier 1 registry, which is more generic mass produced things, but at least more artistics options I think? For example, I really needed mixing bowls, so I’m hoping for some gorgeous flower painted ones from Pier 1, instead of basic white and plastic ones from other box stores.
Pier 1 isn’t ideal either though as its is a wishlist and not a registry, so doesn’t automatically update when people buy from it. I hope people realize that that is ok with us, and we’d rather return duplicates from their than have generic things. But as always, any gift is extremely generous and appreciated (don’t want to sound snobby!).
