@MrsPhilly:  Your dress is beautiful on you!  I’m getting married the same date as you and have found my dress online but haven’t tried it on.  Glad to know there are other 10.4.14 brides out there who’ve got their dress picked/bought!

Mine was about $550 and I’m expecting alterations to be about $400 (I’m having the train chopped off and I’ve lost weight so it needs to be taken in quite a bit).

I’m super proud of my dress and the price I paid, so I will never hesitate to share it! I have Brooklyn by Maggie Sottero. I found her after the design was discontinued. I bought the floor sample (since it couldn’t be ordered due to being discontinued…). Brooklyn is originally $2500. I paid $500 for the dress and $288 for alterations (it was originally a size 12 and I’m a bit smaller, so there’s a lot of cutting apart and putting back together going on there!)

Discontinued White by Vera Wang.  I think it was like $599?  Had to take the sample though.  I was looking to spend under $2k, so this was a freaking AMAZING day!

@BrideNH:  Thanks! I thought it was perfect too 😉 It’s David’s Bridal WG3389 aka the Kate Middleton reception dress replica.  I bought it because I love it and not the name attached to the design. I love it and can’t wait to wear it in 9 days! I have it in white which can only be special ordered at the stores. They said it was going to take 12 weeks but can in within under two weeks. Btw it is on sale for $449.00.

@katievee:  Do you mind me asking if you have the shoppe do the alterations or an independent seamstress? I am hoping to find alterations for less 🙂
