YAY! I never pass up an opportunity to show off my dress (and what I paid for it)!

It was $795 but I got $100 off for buying that day, so total came to $695 (before alterations).

It hasn’t come in yet (due to come in in April – fingers crossed) but I can’t WAIT to see it again!!

I purchased Mori Lee 1862 for $1200 inc. tax…plus alterations for $420. I still need a veil…not doing a petticoat and probably will go without a belt/sash.

there are some excellent finds on here.

I especially love mori lee (& the madeline gardner mori lee’s) that are trumpet or mermaid and ruched chiffon, lace, or beautiful details over netting.

@katievee:  @weim-love @NVMox2480 @futuremrskgt : I love every single one of your dresses, do you have any tips on how you got these dresses on discount?  also- so many of these dresses are so beautiful- did you have to try on every single Mori Lee to figure out which one you liked the most?  or how did you narrow it down?  (I’m newly engaged and trying to figure out a strategy for dress shopping)

@Shkragoldfish:  Thank you!! The place I bought it at had it on sale…I think the original price was about $1800 (I think b/c they had newer ones coming in). I looked through tons of magazines for pictures of the styles I liked and brought them with me to all the bridal salons. David’s Bridal and Alfred Angelo were both unsuccessful. I googled my favorite picture (my Mori Lee) and called all the stores in Las Vegas that sold Mori Lee dresses. Only one had my dress. I tried on another Mori Lee (they didn’t have some other ones I wanted to try on), but it was too plain overall.

@lealorali:  Nope!  It’s a JS Collection.  It’s their “Soutache Overlay” dress, but I don’t think Nordstroms is selling it anymore. Although coincidently, my mother is wearing a Sue Wong dress to my wedding, hahaha.  Another story for another time…
