@SleepyBee: I was 100% surprised, didn’t even know he was planning to propose then so I had no input…it was all DH!
He chose the three stones for past/present/future because we dated in college but lost touch before things got serious (I moved suddenly, back in the days before internet/cell phones). We were apart 22 years, reconnected (thanks, Facebook!) and 3 years later were married.
Not the best pic, I just can’t figure out how to get a good one!

All he knew was that I wanted something antique. He did everything else himself 🙂

@ifoundmyprince: I love your ring! If I picked my own ring out, I believe I would have probably picked something similar! That is my birthstone and my favorite color. Your man did a great job!
However, my husband got me a diamond. We had briefly touched on the subject of marriage before and I just told him to get me whatever he thinks i would love but if he gets me a diamond, get me a really GOOD quality diamond. I didnt care how big it was, the color of gold or the shape or anything. So when he actually proposed, I was 100% surprised! He did an amazing job on my ring. Its literally perfect. Perfect size (I’m a teacher so anything big would be in the way) and everytime I look at it, I just think of him looking at ring after ring and thinking that this is the one I would love and I do!
So here is a picture of my beauty and the wedding band!

gorgeous rings, ladies!
my Fiance found out I wanted an amethyst with a split shank from my best friend (now MOH) but the diamond halo and the filigree dome were his additions and I LOVE them.
pardon the giant shamless pic. I just love my ring so much! 🙂

Awh, thank you!!!
I think my ring is super modest compared to a lot of the rings on here, I love it to death and I’ll keep posting it because I love it so much, but I’m always surprised when people take notice of it over all the huge rings on here, lol!!

My fiancee secretly designed my ring for me. The diamond used to belong to his mother who sadly passed away just over a year ago. He had his sister (who actually gave him the stone – so sweet of her) sneakily get me to try on one of her rings to get an idea of size! Its so incredibly precious to me.
