I don’t have a marquise, sorry! But there’s a few pretty ones in google images you can start with for inspiration!

No halo, but it is east-west! .47 carat, 4mm x 8mm, size 6 ring

@Sweetie Pie 21:  I think she meant she didn’t have one, but there were ones on Google to be found and showed an example.  If you look at the pic location (I right clicked and copied the image location, pasted in the address bar) it’s “http://coloreddiamond.info/gallery/155_06_09_07_8_52_18.JPG”… which I doubt is her personal ring. But I could be wrong.

Aside from that there are images to be found of east-west but it’s HARD to find, I searched a ton before we had my ring made.  I can only imagine it’d be even harder to find with a halo!

@Carmour:  Setting the marquise this way is also called horizontal and sideways.  AND there’s another name for marquise that starts with an “N” and is less common (sorry I can’t think what it is now!  ETA: It’s Navette which is French)… just to make searching even more confusing and difficult!

@Sweetie Pie 21:  Sorry, Sweetie Pie! That’s not my ring. I just found it in Google images and it looked similar to what you were describing

I know mine isn’t what you’re really describing, but there are four marquise and two are east-west, with kind of a halo effect with the ground brilliants in between each…

I love the first pic in this post. Beautiful!

@Carmour:  The translation is “little boat” or so I have read, I don’t speak more than a few words of French.

my fiancé and I designed this one around his gma’s marquise.  Not my favorite cut, but I just love love love it in our new setting.
