Here’s a Bee idea: http://www.weddingbee.com/2008/09/17/the-cheapest-save-the-dates-ever/ and there are also templates if you create a free profile on the Knot (they can coordinate with wedding website if you have one) Also, this Etsy seller http://www.etsy.com/shop/savethedate has really cute designs (she makes them and sends you the file) which would be a great way to personalize things to your style. This little video is also cut http://www.stylemepretty.com/2009/07/21/digital-save-the-dates/

Good luck!

Hey Folks. Well, i just finished these off and thought i should share. I also made a website. I’m trying to stay dedicated to the ‘paperless’ movement. It’s hard! I am getting some grief from my elders but i haven’t cracked yet!

I am using GloSite.com

I used Google picasa and uploaded a bunch of photos of us, then used the collage feature and then switched it to the mosaic style.

It put all the photos of us in an inspiration board style image.  I then took that collage and in MS publisher added some text at the top ‘Save the Date’ and at the bottom put the date (and city).

now I have one electronic image which I will email out to everyone (and maybe print off a couple for ppl who aren’t computer literate)

I will see if i can post it on here, but I am not very good with stuff like that…still learning

Have you tried http://www.paperlesspost.com ? They have tons of templates you can use and you can mess around with the colors too so it fits your scheme. Pretty affordable too. Here are ours:
