Ok bees, I just booked my engagement shoot… Well, technically I’m sort of having 2 because I had photographer regret & already put 1k down with my first photog. So instead of wasting that money, we are doing an engagement shoot & some photos of our english bulldogs as well because we love them dearly:) This still wont use up all of our money we paid, but itll help it not go to waste. So I booked the shoot for a month away & have NO clue what to wear. Itll be chilly since itll be Feb in Ohio, so any ideas you bees have or showing your photos would def help. Thanks bees!!

@Barbiestylez: Since Fiance and I hate taking pictures, we decided to dress as comfortably as possible…ergo…jeans, shirt, and tennis shoes 🙂

@LTD418: Those are still adorable!! Im just unsure what to wear because Im not a jean lover — Im usually in leggings, boots, & an oversized tunic — but I dont want to look like Im swimming in the shirt or heavyset because of the cut. I also dont want something super skin tight so I have to be worried about my body in every angle! Im hoping these photos you bees send me give me ideas:))

@Barbiestylez: We had a crazy warm day (Michigan in March) that was 51 degrees, so we got some outdoor shots without freezing. We wore jeans. I had on a white tank with some bling and a black jacket thing. He wore a black button up with a white t-shirt underneath so we had an “outfit change.”

@Barbiestylez: I had two outfits that I wore. One was this
and then I also had a white sundress with my boots as well, but she didn’t get any full shots where you can really see that outfit.
This was from our maternity/gender reveal session next week, but it may be a little bit more season and your style friendly for inspiration.

@Barbiestylez: I would have LOVED to do an engagement photo during an Ohio winter, but our photog booked based upon timeline, so we did ours in October instead!! Due to the differential in season and climate, my attire will probably be different than yours 🙂 However, Fiance and I decided to be ourselves, knowing our wedding photos will be the absolute best dressed UP selves in our lives (or, most likely). I wore skinny jeans, knee high black boots, a coral chiffon top and a cardigan, and the pictures were ‘perfect’.
If we had gotten our wish of a winter engagement shoot, I would have kept my bottom half the same, and then would have worn a colorful peacoat (red, etc!!). That is my suggestion anyways!! Sorry, I do not have pics to post at the moment!!

I planned our outfits to match each other, but I’m so pleased with how they went with the forest and the sunset too!

I wore a flowy white lace top and jeans for mine.
I also added a scarf in some of the pics because it was fall and it was starting to get cold out.

@s2bmrscook: How long did you shoot last?? I was thinking 2 outfits — whether it be like jeans, boots, a tunic and scarf for one & then the other just add a peacoat on and change boots maybe??? I love the tattooos btw!!
@PacificMrs: Yes I was thinking more like your bottom photo since the weather!! I need to shop!
@OUgal0004: Thats whats im thinking! Where can I find a cute coat? I couldnt find any I loved this year…
@esi142: Girl, your legs are amazeballs. WOW! Someone had to say it!
@Pinkmoon: It does all go together!! very cute!!!
@bleusteel: Very cute! Im thinking a scarf too!!
@MrsSweetT: Seems like jeans is the way to go!!:)

It was below freezing for our shoot. We were going to wear sweaters, but I couldn’t find one I liked and realized I needed more structure so we went with leather jackets. I wore long underwear and we brought a black blanket to sit on but we were still popsicles by the end of the shoot.

i love looking at peoples engagement pictures! So cute!!
we did three outfit changes. It was late late October and a somewhat warmer day for Ohio
one outfit was a red Lacey dress with black tights and flats and bh wore his vest and and dress shirt and pants
second was a sweater turtleneck and his sweater with jeans and I wore boots
lastly we just chaned shirts to plaid and I wore a complemetating cardigan but kept our boots and jeans
we had a ton of fun and felt boding during our session
