Ummm I SO love this thread. Fiance proposed in the airport… we were long distance before I moved back south. Forgive the length… I’m lazy and copied it right from our website:

Proposal

Where Did It Happen?

Outside of Concourse C in BWI Airport in Baltimore, MD

How Did It Happen?

As I normally do I went to the airport to meet Gabriel. My typical thing is to stop and grab him a Minute Maid Cran/Raspberry juice and if he’s hungry a snack of some sort. He came through the gate and as usual I was smiling from ear to ear. When he started acting out of the ordinary (like waiting around, hugging me repeatedly, etc) I knew he was either waiting on someone or something). Finally (after about 10 or so minutes of this weird we’re still standing at this gate thing…) I said “baby what’s wrong with you? Who are you waiting on?” He explained that he’d met this older married couple on the plane and wanted me to meet them too. It made sense so we stood there for a couple moments longer.

All of a sudden he reached in his pocket and dropped to one knee. I starting giggling like crazy. It was like a dream come true. I’d always wanted a public proposal and in the middle of a busy airport couldn’t be better. He began to explain how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and wanted me to be his wife. He asked “will you marry me?” and before he could get the dang question out I was saying “yes yes yes!” There were several people who were aware of what was going on and as soon as he put the ring on my finger and we kissed they started applauding. It was perfect… I still smile when I think about it.

After the proposal we left the airport… LOL. As we were leaving the parking garage I yelled to the attendant “He just proposed to me!” and stuck my hand out of the window so she could have a look at my ring. She got all excited and we sat and talked about how good of a man he was for a few minutes. I’m sure it embarrassed him but hey… he’d just did the same to me… and here I am excited that I’m living my dream.

I love this board!

My Fiance started off by blindfolding me, putting me in the car, and driving in circles around our city until I had no idea where we were. Two and a half hours later, I was told to take off my blindfold and when I did, we were at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC! I had always wanted to go there, but never had.

We walked around the garden, had a picnic lunch, toured the house, and went to the winery and had a wine tasting. The whole day was so romantic! We were on our way out, when he turned around, parked the car, and told me that we should go take some pictures on the lawn in front of the house as the sun was setting. We walked down to the lawn and my Fiance found a random couple to take our picture. Fiance decided we needed a second picture, and while the woman was taking it, he got down on one knee and proposed! I, of course, started crying and said yes ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m so glad he figured out a way to have pictures taken without being too obvious! The couple turned out to be very nice, and they were actually there celebrating their 5th wedding anniversay. It was perfect.

I’ll play! Apparently Fiance had all these really romantic plans for a proposal that I kept somehow shooting down accidentally lol Soooo we went on a spontaneous  trip to Orlando with my cousin and her BF to go ice skating and then dinner at the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney. While we were waiting for our table, Fiance had suggested we go sit down by the water since it was cooler over there and there were outside fans turned on. I quickly agreed since it was nearly sunset and thought it would be a pretty place for a quick photo op. Before I could even set my purse down on a table and turn around to pose for a quick picture, he was down on his knee. I don’t even really remember anything he said b/c I was in total shock and could only keep repeating things like “OMG are you serious?” and “No, I can’t believe it.” until he finally said “I’ve already talked to your parents” with a strained look on his face waiting for an answer LOL Of course I said “YES!!” but that was quickly followed with another “OMG I can’t believe it!” lol  Thankfully my cousin and her BF were in on it the whole time and were able to capture this great picture. Don’t mind the horrible hair and glasses lol It was supposed to just be a relaxed day, I wasn’t planning on a proposal ๐Ÿ™‚

We were in Cancun with some friends. He tried to sneak us away to purpose in private on the beach, but the friends discovered this and came running down the beach and got these photos. I’m cut out because they couldn’t steady the camera while running. Haha.
