Yay rings! Mine is not an heirloom, but I hope it stays strong a long time as I’m not planning to solder it with my future wedding band. The center stone is a 1 carat cushion cut diamond.

brandonbee:  that’s beautiful!! Marquise diamonds are so elegant. Love the meaning behind it too!

My ring doesn’t really have any special story behind it but it does represent one of the most important things in my life : the love, marriage and commitment between my husband and I ๐Ÿ™‚

its a 0.61ct VS1, G color round brilliant cut

This is my lady, we picked it out together after we got engaged but then he surprised me with it when he actually got it and went down on one knee infront of big audience of people at one of my shows. So he kinda proposed twice, very fun and surprising ๐Ÿ™‚

You guys have such nice hands. Mine are so dry! Ugh!

I have a silly story about my ring.  The hubby shopped for my engagement ring all on his own without any input from me.  The ice blue sapphires that you see on my ring here were originally green sapphires.  When I asked my fiance at the time why he chose green sapphires, he said it was because he knew I wanted a green ring.  There was this one time, a few years prior, where I showed him a photo of this gorgeous emerald solitaire and told him how much I would love an engagement ring like that. (Emerald is my birthstone).  When he went ring shopping, he decided he liked the classic diamond solitaire best but wanted to add a touch of green because he knew how much I loved green.  I had to break it to him that I didn’t just love any green but emerald. I was still as happy as ever to have the ring he gave me but he insisted we go to the jewelry store so I could see the different colors available and choose the one I liked best. In the end, I fell in love with the blue sapphires so we had them swap the stones out. I loved my ring then and I love it more now.

So many gorgeous rings! Mine is also a heirloom! Parts of my rings have been changed throughout the generations. From what I was told, it began with great great grandma, then it was passed down to great grandma who made some changes, then to grandma who made changes, then to my mother who made some serious changes to the wedding guard (not the engagement ring). So my mother gave it to my Fiance to give to me. I will not make any changes. The only thing I am doing is having a new custom wedding band made to wear for every day use. The wedding guard takes up almost half of my finger, so I’ll only wear that when we go out somewhere fancy. So like… Once every 5 years lol. I DO know that my great great grandmother started with the center diamond in a hat pin and later had it made into a ring, but not her wedding ring. I don’t believe they used diamonds back then. There’s not too much info on my great grandmother other than she added the 2 single cut baguettes on either side.
