so I’ve been hooked on this site for a while now obsessing over everyone’s ring porn!!! Love them all by the way! the future Fiance and went setting shopping, it was much easier and quicker than I thought! (ive always joked he’ll be more of a bride than I am, he had a very specific wish list!) I had originally fallen in love with a Tacori setting (which I had no idea until the sales associate informed me) but the 5k price tag was a bit over our budget. On a determined hunt to find something with similar qualities i ended up discovering Sylvia Collection and Gabriel & Co. Although the Sylvia collection had gorgeous setting, they didn’t amount to the selection and many different price points of Gabriel. We found a nearby Jeweler in Brooklyn who carried Gabriel & Co and luckily enough for me with no stones in setting. I don’t know how anyone else feels but even though this is a semi open engagement I didnt want an idea of what the finished product would be. THE WISH LIST!! I’ve always wanted a cushion cut diamond, but the future Fiance opposed to this as a round cut will always be time less. How can I get a cushion cut look with a round diamond? A setting with a halo cushion modified for a round diamond π The only other thing I wanted was a few side stones. His wish list was round center stone, side stones, ornate “carriage” (I’m not sure what its called but the part underneath that houses stone), and all sides of band to be ornate. Gabriel & co fulfilled both our wants! It was love at first site and not to mention the setting looked beautiful without any stone! I still don’t know how big my stone will be, but I do know my setting is complete and had to be modified to fit the stone. Who knows could be bigger or smaller than what I saw at the store. The one at the jewelers was for a 1.75 ct. i can’t wait!! As I’m sure an waiting bee feels!!

We will be almost ring twins! My setting is Gabriel & Co and almost exactly the one you will have (I have no detail on the carriage and my center stone sits lower into the setting). I get many compliments and LOVE the sparkle. I am so excited for you!!

@Waitingtobee…: omg!!!! I love yours!!! Yeah, the prongs are so high when the setting is unfinished, but my future Fiance says they’ve been shaved down and shortened for the stone. Omg yours and mine are so similar, I’m loving it! And the polish too π

Very happy for you! I think nailing down the setting is probably the most exciting part! π

Everyone has such gorgeous rings!
I recieved the setting of mine (tacori retired style) with a white sapphire in the middle until SO can afford the Moissanite I want. The halo in my ring has real diamonds and I can barely tell the difference!

Really glad to read these G&Co experiences. I have my design for a ring with them now, and am eagerly awaiting their response, though it will probably be a few days at least.
How is the pave holding up in your G&Co rings, if I may ask? That is my biggest concern, though I know they have high quality pieces.

My ring is from Gabriel & Co also! I’ve only had it for two weeks so I can’t say much about the longevity of the pavé, @JoCoJenn, but it looks good to me!

@JoCoJenn: hi! I’ve had my ering since November 2012 and I had no issues with my pave whatsoever. Still love it just as much if not more than the day I got it π

@JoCoJenn: My ring is Gabriel&Co and I’ve had it since October 2012. I haven’t had any issues *knocks on wood*, and I love my ring. They make high quality pieces, and I would highly recommend them.
