I had a really hard time deciding on a china pattern.  I really stressed over it.  It was one of those things that in the long run is not that important but it took on a life of its own at the time.  I am still debating whether I made the right choice for crystal.  I went with the Waterford Lismore Tall, but keep thinking maybe I should go with the Waterform Nouveau or Essence.

I loved the Spode Blue Colonel pattern, but was warned away from it because of production issues the company is having.

I ended up going with Vera Wang for Wedgewood’s Golden Grosgrain and selected Wedgewood’s Columbia Sage Green as an accent plate.

Here are the Spode, Golden Grosgrain and Columbia Sage patterns:

This is the pattern FH and I chose, after a couple trips to Macys. We liked b/c it is timeless and classic AND you can add accent plates from other lines to change it through out the years. Its by Lenox and it’s called Federal Platinum. We’re either going to get Kate Spade Larabee Road in Platinum.or Kate Spade June Lane as our accent plates.

I am obsessed with my china and can’t wait to get and use it. It’s by Kate Spade and it’s called Bonabel Place. I can’t save a pic on this computer but here is a link:

Sort of hard to see but it has very light, soft paisly around the rim and i LOVE it!

Also, AlliCherri1 I love your idea! I wish we thought of that! Go with Larabee Road, I love all the Larabee dot collection, we registered for a bunch of it! (Did you know they make highball glasses in that collection? And vases and pitchers, oh my! I love it!)

We already received formal china from my grandmother, so we decided to register for casual china only. It is "Pure Red" my Mikasa.

monalisa – I really like that collection, beautiful 🙂
We’ve already registered for the Larabee flatware and some crystal, I’m leaning toward Larabee for the plates too, but FH is worried about it being to girly so I’m giving is some time 🙂
Mrs. Spring – I love those plates, FH and I were very close to getting some of their larger pieces for serving plates.

This has my china now for 15 years..and it’s gorgeous (Hancock by Lenox)..Just as it would happen (as if by fate), T has all the Christmas/holiday china also by Lenox.; Only things I want to add are charger plates that match them. Three months ago, for Christmas, my great aunt surprised me and sent me OVER 20 PLACE SETTINGS OF STERLING in my pattern..which is Grand Baroque!  I almost passed out and so did the fed ex guy when he had to carry in the multiple heavy boxes!

I love these three patterns so dearly!  Only thing we need (giggle) is EVERYDAY china now..I love Lenox’s butler’s pantry!

Btw, I love to mix sterling with gold in settings..gives you LOTS of decorative table options for every occasion.

We are going with something simple and timeless – Lenox Tribeca. It is hard to tell from the picture, but there is some square shaped embossing around the rim of each piece.  Funny, my Fiance did not want "round shaped teacups" and only liked patterns with mugs like the ones you see here. Too funny!

We’re not registering for china, but if we were, this would be the set I want. It’s Flutter by Lenox.

I wasn’t going to register for China because my grandmother left me her Royal Doulton Cotillion China (Blue and Grey flowers). But then I FEEL IN LOVE with Kate Spade’ Crescent Drive China. How appropriate for this site… it has little bees on it!
