Lately I’ve “discovered” Etsy in a big bad way. Show me your favourite Etsy purchases for your wedding! Bonus points for sharing the shop where you got them. I want to stop spending money but I also really am liking buying more things.
Why DIY when someone else can do it for you? Eh heh heh.

Can I ask what Etsy is please? (think it’s maybe an American/Canadian thing)

etsy.com is all handmade and/or vintage items. I could probably spend all day on there lol.

I got a custom return address stamp to use for our save the dates and invites. I chose this style, but had them customize it with a more scrolly font for our names:

That’s so interesting! Like PP explained, it’s an internet thing. I take it it’s not as popular elsewhere. Most of the best shops are by US residents IMO though, so there is the whole customs / crossing the border issue which is a royal pain. I have no problem finding cute things in Canadian stores on Etsy, but the sheer volume of items made in the US has the whole long tail thing going for it. You can find almost anything on there.
Very cool! I had never thought to make the return address all pretty and dressed up.

I haven’t actually made any purchases yet but here are several items that I will be buying for our wedding:
Guest book fingerprint tree – http://www.etsy.com/shop/jenniferjdesigns?ref=seller_info
Custom ring bearer dish – http://www.etsy.com/shop/SayYourPiece?ref=seller_info
Our invitations =) – http://www.etsy.com/shop/jpascarella1?ref=seller_info
A hair flower – http://www.etsy.com/shop/flowerbucketboutique?ref=seller_info
We’re also thinking about getting custom cufflinks made for our groomsmen and I’m also possibly getting my jewelry from a seller on there as well. I’m kinda obsessed LOL

Love that hair flower! We are absolutely doing a fingerprint tree too, though I’m actually DIYing that one. What are you doing about the whole inkpad deal? A bunch of little finger wipes on the table for guests?

I’ll play! I honestly don’t know how people planned weddings before etsy…
my dress (from seller rschone, mine is a cream color instead):
my veil (from seller agneshart):
tree guest poster (from seller fancyprints, our background is light blue instead):
bracelet (from seller katkuffs):
I have also ordered custom clutches for my bridesmaids from jennaloudesigns and a fake fur shawl from spazoozie, but I am too lazy to upload pictures.
