Totalkaos1983:  Yes, he is quite big. He has long legs and body and just big all around. I love my big fur baby. He loves sitting on my lap and watching tv with me, he is a great companion.

GemmaBella:  That is so cool and they do look a bit alike! How did you come up with his name? We got our cat from an animal shelter and he was just a kitten at the time, the name that was given to him was “Moscow” but I didn’t like it too much and we were just throwing out names and I said what about “Cosmo” and ever since that’s been his name.

Totalkaos1983:  we got her from a breeder. I have another yorkie that I rescued about 5 years ago… But when I moved into an apt that didn’t allow puppies she went to stay w my mom… And my mom wouldn’t give her back when we moved 2 1/2 years ago lol So we decided to get another yorkie that would love with us 😉 shes a total daddy’s girl. The minute we walked into the house to look at puppies roxy ran right up to him and hopped into his lap and the rest is history! She lays with hilm like a baby would, with her head oN her his chest and her body against his arm. Shes so sweet lol

Totalkaos1983:  We got her from our local pound here in Austin, Texas. We have many shelters that are run purely by doncations as well. Austin is a great place to be for dogs, and people are INCREDIBLY supposrtive of saving Animals here. It’s sort of a doggie oasis, dogs are allowed in so many restaurants and we have lots of dog parks.

When we got Roux, she was 5 months old had been a stray with her brother her whole life. She was VERY scared and submissive, had mange from her stress and malnutrition and she had kennel cough. As a couple we don’t make much money, but we worked hard to give her the best care. She now has separation anxiety that we are working through. She’s been expensive and it hasn’t been easy, but rescuing her was the best choice I have ever made. Really, who rescued who? I am obsessed with her and love her just as much as I love any human. Just as I’m sure everyone on this thread feels!

Totalkaos1983:  Thank you! And we picked her out of a litter from a breeder. There are not too many vizsla breeders so we had to drive quite a ways to get her. 🙂 We love her so much.

Totalkaos1983:  She’s been totally fine since they were separated. He got adopted shortly after her, but we knew he would because he was such a cutie. She is actually better separated because she was SO incredibly submissive of him. She seemed so fearful of everything, because she trusted her brother to make sure everything was safe before she followed. She would have been a completely different dog had we not separated her and let her explore nad fend for herself. There is no better term to describe her behavior other than “shadow”, she mirrored every step he took. It was the strangest thing. I can’t imagine what we would have done if she had been depressed about leaving him!

Dh had been resistant on getting pets since a few years ago we lost our dog. but two months ago i convinced him (SOME HOW?) to get three ducks and a kitten. We are soooooo happy!!! He loves them all sooo much! our feather/fur family. we have been sitting a really old mama bulldog too. so we have quite the little family right now.
