Hi ladies!
I just ordered my garter on Etsy for a fabulous price. I am not doing a garter toss or anything so I just wanted something simple and affordable for myself to keep. I also wanted mine to be Navy blue, because that’s one of my wedding colors, and also qualifies as a “something blue.” I thought this was pretty. I saw many others I liked, but they were not in my budget. I have been trying to be as frugal as possible ๐ Anyway! Here is my garter:

And I would LOVE to see yours ๐ I love looking at pretty things. Haha.

So cute! I haven’t ordered one yet. I wasn’t going to, since we’re also not doing a garter toss but I wanted to get a garter too! I’m hoping to get this one:

Like LaraW, I’m going with a Florrie Minton garter—I’m still trying to decide (!) but this is the one I keep going back to and is probably the ‘one’.

We didn’t do a garter toss but I still wore one. It was made by my lovely sister. It is from our mom’s wedding dress and the tie our dad wore, then she put the date on it.

@cz1789: That garter is very pretty! I was stuck choosing too, spent days trying to decide. They’re all so beautiful!

So gorgeous!! Florrie Mitton’s are so beautiful… I just didn’t really have the money for one. And I love your handmade one, longdistanceplanning, so special! ๐

Can’t we buy one to keep and buy one to toss, like with flowers? I want to keep my pretty one and toss a cheaper less expensive/meaningful one, since I doubt whoever gets it will really care very much about it…

@Ms.Sugarsnap: Yeah! That’s traditionally what is done. A lot of times, you can buy the garters in a set. You keep the prettier one, and toss the simpler one ๐

Anybody have a garter that is going under a chiffon dress? I need something that won’t show under the light fabric!
Also, is anyone wearing a practical garter/stockings?

I LOVE mine! But it’s going under a satin dress. Nanarosedesigns $30 on etsy!
