These rings are all so lovely! Thanks for sharing your pics, everyone! My husband gave me his grandmother’s diamond ring when we got engaged, so obviously I love it, but gemstone rings are so pretty.

I knew I didn’t want a diamond but that left so many options. I considered tanzanite for a long time but decided I wanted a morganite. Pink is my favorite color and I fell in love with how morganite looks when set in rose gold. The band of my ring has rubies, which is my partner’s birthstone. I love how the color of my morganite changes depending on the lighting and even what I’m wearing. Many times it looks very slightly lavender, but mostly just a clear pale pink.

6.6 morganite pear. I love geology myself and its also why I didn’t want a diamond! I cant wait to see photos of your Spinel. I also one day hope to get a Zircon.

I love this game.  I have no idea how large my sapphire is, I know it’s over a carat.  I wanted a vintage looking ring, originally I was going to get a gray spinel set into something but the jeweler told me they can get scratched easily (?) so I decided on a sapphire.  I never really ever wanted a diamond, neither did the Fiance.  I saw this setting and fell in love.

Moissanite center stone with purple sapphires. There are two peekaboo stones as well–an alexandrite and a garnet (our birthstones).

Non-diamond was the only outright requirement I gave my Fiance for my engagement ring. I LOVE jewel tone colours (deep blues, purples, greens, reds) and wear them almost constantly, so sapphire was the perfect choice! I also prefer something a bit “different” from the crowd. Throw in the ethical issues surrounding the diamond industry, and I just knew they weren’t for me. I love my ring so much!
