I doubt anyone will like my rings, seeing as they’re in a black finish and feature skulls (which to me represent til death do us part, a sentiment  I find more romantic than creepy).

My spinel is also a ‘non desirable’ colour in the trade but I love it! I’ve always had a soft spot for grey and brown modifiers and ‘underdog’ stones. Mine shows more purple in sunlight, more dusty pink in incandescent. It’s a dark, moody little thing (like me :-P)

So I am new to all of this. I have three rings that I rotate depending on my mood (a little silly yes.) At the moment i have been wearing my Sleeping Beauty Turquoise and diamons halo ring. Sleeping Beatuty is highly prized for it’s clear color. A few years ago the Sleeping Beauty mine in Globe, AZ closed so I jumped at the chance to buy this stone.

Mine is a 2 ct amethyst. I love purple and was originally going for a spinel, this ring captured my heart. I don’t have it on my finger yet, not til August.

What a great thread! So many gorgeous rings. My fiancé and I picked out a pink/purple sapphire. I love the way it changes color depending on the light. We found out after we got it that it’s an unheated stone, which apparently makes it rarer. Sapphire is my late mom’s birthstone, so it’s nice to carry a reminder of her wherever I go.

Ukulele4You:  thank you,  my mil has it,  was her moms engagement ring,  was broken and no stone in it,  so I fix it up and put pink sapphire in it.  She was bothering me about it, so I just gave it to her for her 60th birthday.  Lol.

SeaOfLove:  Here is my right hand ring given to me by my Fiance. I’ve been looking for a sapphire (birthstone) ring and one night while in bed, my Fiance just handed this to me. <3
