I have a couple, a green diamond and a green moissanite!

Moissanite pic 1, diamond pic 2. Diamond ring purchased second hand, and the moissanite stone I bought from e-bay and then had set by a jeweler on Etsy. The diamond is about a 0.4ct, and the moissanite is about a 1.7 ct.

My Mother’s emerald e-ring (pictured on my hand). She has worn it daily for 25+ years without any issues.
I really hope to get an emerald of my own in the not to distant future, I just love the colour.

Olivepepper :  That green moissy is amazing! I need it!

hermionegranger :  I love my side stones, they contrast really well and really up the sparkle factor of the ring. Coloured stones look great in fancy cuts IMO. I’m partial to Ovals in general, but I love step cuts in Emerald. I spotted this pear cut Emerald in a yellow gold halo and I am drooling!

1920s old mine cut diamond with French cut emeralds set in platinum. I figure it’s lasted 100 years so I’m good to go!

Green is my favorite color and I’ve been wanting a green stone ring for a while. I am debating if it is worth spending money and getting a green diamond, or if I should save the money and just go for a green moissanite. I’m so torn! There’s one green diamond I’ve been looking at every day on James Allen and dreaming of.

These are all beautiful! I love green stones. I have a topaz engagement ring so can’t join in but I just wanted to say about the hardness of gem stones- topaz is around 8 on the MOH’s hardness scale I believe. I’ve worn my ring (a four prong solitaire so not that protective) every single day for about a year and it still looks as fantastic as the day I got it. I am quite protective of it (I don’t wear it to bed, while doing dishes, anything that could mean it gets bumped or scratched). I love looking at antique jewellery and I’ve seen lots of really old gem stone rings that still look amazing. I wouldn’t let hardness put you off getting a stone that you love! I was worried about topaz but I’m so glad I picked it. It’s so sparkly and beautiful.

I love my emerald ring!! And you won’t find that same shade of green in any other type of stone. In terms of durability as long as you get one that is pretty eye clean they’re fine it’s the natural inclusions they have which make them weaker. I wear mine everyday and clean it about once a month with fairy liquid and a baby tooth brush and have never had any problems with it 😊 I hope you find the perfect ring
