I want to wear my hair half up so that there’s a place for the veil. I hate the way my hair looks when it’s up and you can’t see my hair in the picture… hate!!! lol! So, show me your pics of half up or all down hair! I think I want *some* curl, but not totally spiraled like kid-ish! Thanks, gals ๐

I did all down and went with a 1940s “relaxed” look, basically a more modern look in the front with larger and less tight finger curls. I loved it!!

I went half up too. My wedding was only a week ago, so I don’t have many pictures yet!

I went half up so I could get my veil in.
This was my inspiration picture

Here is how it turned out (after my veil was removed)

Here’s mine… I really wanted my hair down, but I wanted the birdcage veil!!

Ignore the funny Bridesmaid or Best Man face in this next one… it’s the best photo I have of the back! Haha.

This is from our “2’nd Wedding.” (1-1-11) For the “real” one (10-10-10) I had my hair done by my friend/hairdresser and it was all up. Well 2 weddings means 2 diff. hair styles, woo! I just did it myself for this one….(but I used my same headband.)

@Swiss Miss to Bee: Loveeee yours.. not too curly, but elegant & pretty much what I’m looking for!! Do you have any more?
I see some of you have this sort of bump around the crown of your head.. did you put something in your hair to do that? My hair is long, like mid back, but I’m not sure if it’ll be thick enough to do that – or if I even want to do that lol, but just wondering!

I had a little bit of a bump at the crown and my hairstylist just added a lot of volume there by teasing it a little bit and then holding it there with tons of bobby pins and hair spray. The first picture shows the back/side. Ignore the goofy look on my face in the second picture but it’s the only one I could find that showed the front of my hair!

Sure, here you go! (sorry didn’t get any of our pro pics back yet!)
I didn’t put anything in there, just teased it a lot! I have Bumpits, but I just got them so I hadn’t really had any experience with them… For the top, I would take a seciton of hair, tease it, then curl it (yup, clamping over the part I teased) then spray it right when you take the curling iron off of the curl. Let it sit in whatever weird loops it comes out in til you are done the top section, then style into place. You might need to tease some more. It will look “OMG way too big” to you, but it’s really not, lol ๐

can you tell I love the dogs ๐

Mine was just teased and bobby pinned to death. Darling Husband took all of them out for me in the hot tub/shower after the wedding.

mine was just teased, then lightly positioned with a comb and hair sprayed!
