I don’t have a halo, but I have a very high set stone (a moissy) that sits “above” the setting (which is shaped like a rose) much like yours does. I’ve had this ring since April and I’ve never had any issues with it! I think I’ve banged it once? But nothing happened ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m a total klutz and had feared I’d damage it because it’s so high and exposed, but I really haven’t had any problems

I personally love high settings that put the focus on the stone. I love yours!

Here is a pic of my ring from the side for reference (and so you can see what I mean about it being similar, minus the halo! Haha)

My diamond sits higher than most. But I love it that way to me it looks different. I haven’t had any issues with it. I’m currently in the process of changing the halo from a cushion to a round halo. I love how the diamond/gemstone showcase on a setting like this all the rings so far on this thread are beautiful in my opinion.

I have a ring where my diamond sits fairly high. I smack the poor thing into a wall or the door at least once a week usually by accident. It never seems to budge, if that helps ๐Ÿ™‚

I don’t know if it qualifies as a high setting but it does stand above the halo. I haven’t had issues smacking it against anything.
