It’s officially Christmas decorating season in our household right after Thanksgiving. Fiance and I didn’t decorate at all for fall which is my favorite time of year because we were just too busy and broke getting the new house in order.

However I was excited to finally have our first Christmas tree as a couple this year! It’s a little better than a Charlie Brown tree but we love it because it came from our property as a wild grown and living fir tree. We are transplanting it to it’s new place in the yard in the springtime.

Our theme this year is outdoorsy simplicity. Ornaments came from FI’s mom and our community’s yard sale. Wish I could get a better detailed and lighted picture with my darn smartphone.

Ornaments: Camping figurines such as a tent, canoe, fish & net, rucksack, etc. And white birds and blue sparkly snowflakes. I will be getting a tiny amount of tinsel since we won’t have lights for the tree.

I also made a wreath from our cedar boughs and our grape vines but I was impatient with it and it’d drying out bad because they were old branches I cut. I used to make wreaths that sold for $75 at fairs when I was a teenager so I should know better, lol.

swonderful:  Only a wreath on the front door so far. We live in a ground level condo. We will have a white feather Christmas tree in the living room. The rest of the indoor decor will be white and copper.  I will also decorate a tree on the patio which can be seen through the sliding doors in the living room.

I love our little owl stockings! We need another one for the baby.

The christmas tree needs some work. The cat has been chewing on it so I’ve been reluctant to put up decorations

swonderful:  It’s just a feather boa wapped around a grapevine wreath. I add red hearts for Valentine’s day,  ears, big eyes and a nose at Easter etc.
