penny1403 :  Ok so I went to Jamesallen.com and it says there are like 400 diamonds that are IF, GIA certified, D,E,F color and range from .70 carats, excellent cut, from like $3000 onward. please look there! Also there are all shapes not just rounds. I am not sure what shape you’re considering.

penny1403 :  Check out PriceScope too.  This link is filtered to show all D-F color, FL-IF clarity, $9000-$11000.  And then you can filter by shape as well.  I like pricescope because you can compare and a lot of times there are videos of each specific stone, so you BF can zoom in and see all the details.

kristin36890 :  Well in that case I’d have to agree, there’s no way he will be able to see the difference with a naked eye! But if it makes him and OP happy to have an IF then I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that 🙂

My diamond is a VVS2. Anything VS2 and up wohld be eye clean. Dont spend the premium for an IF/F diamond. Focus more on the cut and color. Those will definitely be more noticeable.

If he is insistant of going for an IF diamond then check out all the online retailers. They get their diamonds from the same source so sometimes you can find the same exact diamond (same GIA number) on multiple websites and price match.

FWIW I have a VS2 and have yet to be able to see anything in it, even when magnified.

That being said, everyone has their own preferences, so if at the end of the day, IF is what you want, go for it! It’s no money out of my pocket (or anyone else’s here), so choose what you love. 🤗

All you bees on here are fancy smanshy with your VS, VVS or VVVVS diamonds lol!

Just kidding….any who. I have a S1 and honestly I can’t even find the little speck unless I am looking at it from the side and look in between the prongs. The clarity was always the least of my concerns because as my diamond is an excellent cut and E in color, it’s so sparkly and beautiful. I don’t care at all that there’s a little speck of mother earth inside my diamond.

Tell your SO to stop worrying about that so much. Just get something YOU will enjoy and love.

sassybeee :  No one is bashing IF diamonds, we are just pointing out what you have already said, that you get a much smaller diamond for your money. At $10,000 she could have a much more sizeable diamond without any visible differences. If she had an unlimited budget and could still get the carat weight and such she wanted, it wouldn’t make a difference. On a $10,000 budget it will make a huge difference in what she gets. I wouldn’t want a smaller diamond unless it was a visible difference in quality.

If he wants something sparkly and visually perfect then why not get a moissy? PLUS you could save a shit ton of money and take a nice trip.

* I don’t own one but the ones I’ve seen around here are super pretty.

penny1403 :  Did you find anything on James Allen’s site that was IF in your price range?

I think it might be hard to find 1.4 carat in IF DEF and Ex cut ya know for $10k, but maybe I just glanced and saw the site had quite a few. OMGosh I just got a 1.02 carat, VS2 F colored Pear and I LOVE IT I too wear a size 7. I do know there is an inclusion in mine, but pears hide them rather well and I too am very sensitive to inclusions, but mine doesn’t bother me at all because it is sooooooo sparkly! Jamesallen had a good about of ovals did you see them? Good prices too. Ahhh I love my pear lol.

So you have a round already, did Fiance get it for you? Is this one an upgrade or is your round just a previous ring you have? Would you mind sharing a pic of your .75 round since we have the same size finger? If not no worries. I want a alternate ring one day and I want a 2 carat moissanite, but I tried on this really pretty .50 carat super beautiful round with rose gold and loved it. Even on my giant man hands LOL
